What is FlopLab?

A native macOS study tool for poker ranges and board textures. Build a range on the 13×13 matrix, set a board, and instantly see how the range hits — made hands, draws, equity — then filter it down to what keeps playing.

How do I actually use it?

Off-table study: preparing ranges before a session, reviewing hands afterward ("how did that range hit this flop?"), and building the intuition solvers assume you already have. Solver users paste a range in and explore it like a human would.

What's free and what's Pro?

The final split locks at launch. The principle already has: the core analyzer — matrix, board analysis, filters, heads-up equity — stays genuinely useful free, and Pro is a one-time purchase, never a subscription.

What's the beta, and when?

A private beta in small invite waves, in waitlist order — free, with everything unlocked. The first wave is 33 seats. First invites are planned for August 2026. The beta opens with the core analyzer; the bigger pieces — multiway, equity graphs, solver import — roll out to testers first as they ship.

What do beta testers get?

The build, a private Discord channel, everything free during the beta, first access to every new feature — and testers who actively contribute (bug reports or a couple of feedback rounds) keep Pro free for life.

When do Free and Pro release?

Free is planned for September–October 2026 and Pro for October–November 2026 — they launch when the beta proves them ready, and the waitlist hears first.

Can I bring my existing ranges?

Yes — paste plain-text ranges (QQ+, AKs…) and weighted PioSolver/GTO+ strings straight in. Text export is on the roadmap.

Is FlopLab a solver?

No — it's descriptive, not prescriptive. It shows how ranges hit boards; your solver tells you strategy. Serious study workflows use both.

Is an iOS app planned?

Yes. iPhone and iPad companions with range sync are on the roadmap after the Mac release — the engine is already built to be shared.

App Store or direct download?

Both — Mac App Store and a notarized direct download.

Does Flopzilla work on Mac?

No — Flopzilla is Windows-only; running it on a Mac takes a virtual machine or a Wine wrapper. FlopLab is a native macOS alternative, built as its own tool around the same style of range-analysis workflow.

Can I use it while playing online?

FlopLab is built for off-table study. Most sites restrict live-assist tools — check your room's rules.
